Introduction

The Research Institute was founded as “Translation Research Center” in 2009 after the approval of The Council for the Development of Higher Education on 02/02/2006. This institute was located inside the building of The Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages ​​of Allameh Tabataba’i University. After proposing to The Council for the Development of Higher Education in 2013, it was approved to change and upgrade Translation Research Center to “Research Institute for Translation Studies". Upon foundation in 2008, Research Institute was directed by Dr. Hossein Mollanazar, then Dr. Kourosh Safavi held this position. From 2018 to 2021 Dr. Fatemeh Estaji was director of The Research Institute. At present, Research Institute for Translation Studies continues to serve its purposes with Dr. Fatemeh Parham as its director.
